Wooden construction enclave at the Beskid Museum in Wisła

Kategoria: Architecture

The opening of the exhibition of new wooden architecture objects of the Beskids took place in 2010. For her needs, a square connected with the historic buildings of the gallery at Niedźwiedzia and Stara Karczma was adapted. The enclave faithfully recreated a shepherd's flask surrounded by a plaster fence, in which the shepherd produces cheese, a forge in which a real blacksmith forges, among others horseshoes. In front of one of the cottages, a carpenter shows how former shingles were made. It is an important place on the Vistula map, which promotes local folk culture by presenting live lessons of tradition, both for residents and tourists. Workshops are also conducted here, including with bobbin lace, wicker and many more.
