Currently, the shepherd's bag is still willingly worn by shepherds because it fulfills its functions well. But there is also a noticeable fashion for carrying such a bag by musicians, storytellers, regional announcers, regionalists, etc. In the case of members of regional bands and regionalists, it is treated rather as an element of stage dress. The bags were made of one-colored fabric (usually brown) but there were also striped bags (white-brown,
black and white etc.). Woolen fabrics were always left in natural colors, they were not dyed artificially. Some bags were additionally decorated with embroidery made of red yarn.

It happened that some shepherds had bags made of leather. Shepherd's bags are similar throughout Małopolska regardless of regional division. Possible differences depend on the taste of the owner or the talent and skills of the performer.
