The center of the Istebna commune and its hamlets is a real treasury of 19th-century wooden architecture. There are several dozen wooden cottages that should be protected. One of the few perfectly preserved buildings is located on the hamlet of Wojtosze at number 163. This is an example of a kurlaw cottage - it did not have a chimney, which was built in 1863. The structure with a log structure is covered with shingle and has a characteristic top at the end of the gable wall. There is a regional chamber with many exhibits. Janusz Macoszek, an outstanding expert on the local folklore, takes care of the historic cottage. The residential building together with the pigsty is entered in the register of monuments.
