It is one of the largest museums of this type in the open air in Slovakia. Permanent outdoor exhibition presents, among others historic houses from the municipalities of Harvelka and Riečnica, which were flooded as a result of water damming in the Bystrzyczki valley to create an artificial reservoir for drinking water. The exhibitions were opened to visitors in 1981. The 34 objects located here depict authentic interiors and the artifacts of Kysuce buildings from the second half of the year. XIX century
Sulawów farm
The facility served as a seasonal housing for shepherds. The building consisted of a room, a rubber box and a pigsty. It was built on a stone foundation. The living space has a vaulted basement. The farm was built of wooden logs sealed with moss, and in the farm part was decked off. The gable roof was covered with shingles, and the gable walls were vertically decked. The farm is a form of seasonal farm from which permanent residence has evolved.

It is a kurlaw object which conditioned smoke escape through the attic. The sloping, double-pitched roofs with a visor roof are covered with shingles. A three-room building whose walls are finished in the corners with a straight castle. The silhouette of the cottage attracts attention with a decorative detail, which is the finishing of the gable wall with a semicircular mine-mine, the bottom of which is filled with a rosette.
