ROUTE DESCRIPTION:
Day 1
We start our journey on horseback in Kotania. The Orthodox Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian is a place worth visiting. Then we head for Krempna. Here we stop for a moment at the military cemetery no. 6. We ride into the Magura National Park and pass through the village of Polany, which was founded in the mid-sixteenth century under the Vlach law. We pass the old Lemko huts. Olchowiec is the next village on our route; it was founded under the Vlach law in 1541. In Olchowiec, there is a private Lemko Museum, the collections of which include, among other things, a west Lemko thatched hut and a wooden granary. Then we go through the valley of the village of Wilcznia up to the ridge that separates us from the village of Smereczne, from where we go through Tylawa to Zyndranowa. Zyndranowa was one of the largest Vlach villages in the Low Beskids. In this small village, there is the Museum of Lemko Culture, which is a gem of Lemko culture in Podkarpacie. The facility consists of residential and farm buildings and originally designed huts with everyday objects. Then we cross the busy Dukla-Barwinek road and the trail from Zyndranowa leads us to Lipowiec - formerly populous Lemko village, now almost empty valley in the Low Beskids.
Day 2
From Lipowiec we set off to the top summit of Kamień (857 m a.s.l.), which is the highest peak in the whole eastern and central Low Beskids. On the eastern slope (border ridge) of the mountain next to the border post no. 134/2, in the place called Czereniny, there is a military cemetery from World War I. Then we follow the border ridge through Jasiennik (718 m a.s.l.) to Koprywiczna, where we turn off towards Rudawka Jaśliska towards Jasiel - the non-existent village located at the junction of the source streams of the Jasiołka river. It was mainly inhabited by the Lemkos and the Poles who were displaced as a result of the "Wisła" operation. In the village, an obelisk with a plaque commemorating the couriers from the Beskids, operating during World War II, and a monument commemorating the victims of the crime of 20 March 1946. Then we go back to the ridge through Jasiel. We pass the following peaks: Kanasiówka (823 m a.s.l.) Pasika (848 m a.s.l.) Danawa (841 m a.s.l.), Średni Garb (822 m a.s.l.), after which descend to Dołżyca, a village in the borderland between Bieszczady and the Low Beskids. The village is surrounded by wild wooded mountains, which ensure peace of mind and contact with nature.

On the log frame structure of the dome of the nave above the passage to the chancel, there are 16 icons from the old iconostasis from the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. In 1963, a lapidarium consisting of 22 historic tombstones and roadside statutes from Nieznajowa, Żydowskie and Ciechania was created around the church. The orthodox church is surrounded by the fence with a shingled roof and a gate from the 19th century. The area adjacent to the church contains a number of tombstones.

They were mostly soldiers who were wounded in the battle to hold their positions on the Wisłoka river in winter in 1914 and died in a field hospital located in houses near the orthodox church. The LEMKO MUSEUM IN OLCHOWIEC is located in the Kolonia hamlet and managed by Tadeusz Kiełbasiński from Łódź, who was fascinated with Lemkivshchyna and bought an old Lemko hut in 1981; after some time, he arranged a museum there. Currently, the museum includes a wooden hut with a log frame structure (west Lemko type) and a roof covered with straw thatch, which consists of living quarters and utility rooms just like in a typical Lemko hut.
