POŁONINA CARYŃSKA (1297 m asl) - one of the pastures in the Bieszczady Mountains, a mountain range located between the valleys of Prowcza and Wołosate, in which the towns of Brzegi Górne and Ustrzyki Górne lie. The name of the pasture comes from the now defunct village of Caryńskie, which lay at the foot of the pasture, but pastures also belonged to the villages of: Berehy Górne, Bereżki, and Ustrzyki Górne. Even in the interwar period there was intensive grazing here. Połonina Caryńska is protected under the Bieszczady National Park.
