In addition, Jan Kubik is a musician playing many instruments (violins, basses, Pieniny octaves) and pastoral instruments. He often occurs playing thrombite. For over 20 years he has been leading his own band "Music of Jan Kubik". As a musician, he triumphed many times, including during the Carnival of Góralski, Sabałowe Bajań, at competitions in Bukowina Tatrzańska (winner of the first prize among multi-instrumentalists at "Sabałowe Bajanie"), Kroscienko n. Dunajec, Szczawnica and Rabka. He is an expert on Piennian folklore. He was awarded, among others he received the "Gloria Artis" medal in 2015. He conducts classes and workshops in decorating Pieniny ports.
