Wallachian possessions

The participants of the meeting were the Young Juhasa Cultural Association of the Song and Dance Ensemble, the Fľajšovanček Ensemble from Oravska Lesna (Slovakia), the family band Chudobovcov (Slovakia), the children's band Ujsolanka, and the Selesz band. Our guests took care of the good atmosphere for both performing artists and spectators, as well as highlanders - shepherds from Podhale, Silesian Beskids and Żywiec.

The possessions began with words introducing the audience to the world of the Carpathian pastoral culture and the Wallachian Culture Trail project.

As the name of the event indicates, the owners went in a very loose atmosphere, without a strict order of performances. Bands, bands, solo performances, bacow crafts were presented alternately, and at the tables among the chats our guests enjoyed regional cuisine.

The meeting added charm to the beautiful views, smoke of bonfires, the aroma of goulash rising from the cauldron and as it happens in the mountains: changeable weather, which alternately flooded us with the sun and it refreshed with rain.

On the musical side, young Juhas from Ujsoly, our friends' bands from Slovakia took care of us. Between the performances of the musicians there was a show of milk begging and making fresh bundzu cheese. We heard a few words about cheese making and shepherding from our shepherd Tadeusz Szczechowicz, who, along with his son, grazes sheep in Soblówka.

Despite the changing weather, the participants had fun until late evening and at the end you could hear that they are waiting impatiently for further Wallachian possessions.
