The grazing of sheep in mountain glades that lasted for hundreds of years has contributed to the creation of many customs and rituals that are still present in pastoral culture. Standards regulating the organization of grazing, firmly rooted in tradition, survived the turbulent times of change, as well as the characteristic vocabulary that still exists within the huts. It is a supra-regional value, being a kind of binder connecting highlanders from different sides - not only southern Poland, but also the entire Carpathian Mountains.
